Public dashboard

Build in public without opening your books. Pick the figures to share, choose where they start, and publish them on an unlisted link.

Building the page

Open Public page. Give the page a title and an optional description, choose the Net or Gross revenue basis — visitors can't change it — and add widgets: the revenue chart, MRR and the other KPIs, monthly bars, the revenue calendar, breakdowns by product or provider, custom charts and stats. Drag and resize them like on your dashboard.

Edits are saved as a draft as you go. Visitors only see them once you publish.

The shared period

Share figures starting from is the earliest UTC date any widget can read. On a plan with a limited history, the page starts at the later of that date and your plan's history window — the editor tells you when that happens.

What stays private

  • Acquisition data — see Acquisition tracking.
  • Expenses and net profit — see Expenses.
  • The event feed, insights, and every event you haven't opted in (below).
  • Customer names and emails: customer widgets only show counts.

Milestones and product events

Events are private by default. Two narrow opt-ins let some of them through:

  • Milestones, one at a time. Turn Visible on the public page on when you add or edit a milestone, and it appears as a marker on the public charts that show markers — its title, kind, colour and date, never its description. Visitors see the title and date when they hover the marker. Nothing shows until a chart on the page has Show events on this chart on, and those charts draw only these milestones: never pinned, SDK or revenue events.
  • Event counts, one widget at a time. A custom chart or a stat on the public page can plot product events once you turn Show these event counts on the public page on for it. It shows the number of events or of unique users — never the sum or average of value (it can be an amount of money), tag filters or user ids.

Publishing

Publish page — later Publish changes — first lists everything anyone with the link will see: each widget and the figures it shows, the revenue basis, the start date and the milestones that will appear as markers. Nothing goes live until you confirm.

The link is unlisted and search engines are asked not to index it. Regenerate gives the page a new link and stops the old one at once; Take offline unpublishes the page and keeps the draft.
